If your domain name is managed by someone other than Spyridon, you will need to change the nameservers settings at your domain registrar (GoDaddy an example of a domain registrar) in order to have your new website become visible.  Basically, the domains nameservers will point to the DNS records at your new Spyridon Technologies hosting account where your new site has been developed. We can advise you as to what your new nameserver settings should be and then you can easily set them.  If you would prefer us to make the update, just provide us with the login codes for your registrar account and we can make the required changes for you.

As an example, if you have your domain registered through GoDaddy, here are the step you will need to take to update the nameserver settings.  If you use a different registrar, the menus may be different, but the basic procedure will be the same.

  1. Login to your account at GoDaddy and then go to the DNS Management page.
  2. On the DNS Management page, under Nameservers, click Change.
  3. Under Choose your new nameserver type, select Custom.
  4. Enter the custom nameservers that we provided you and click Save.

After updating your nameservers, allow 4 to 8 hours for other networks to access information for .com and .net domain names, and allow 24 to 48 hours for other networks to access information for all other domain extensions.

NOTE: We strongly recommend making the nameserver updates after business hours (evenings after 7pm are best) to help avoid peak visitor traffic interruptions.
